About the Opportunity

If you are a self motivated, detail oriented, reliable individual, Terrier Claims Services is seeking several candidates for Insurance Investigator, Surveillance Investigator, and Property Adjusters.  Qualified candidates must live in the area and cover the adjoining areas.  These field positions will report to the White Plains, New York Office.

Job Duties and Requirements:

INSURANCE INVESTIGATOR
 

*Conduct full field investigations related to insurance claims, including scene investigations, signed/recorded statements, locates for multi-lines of insurance, including worker's compensation, general liability, etc.

*subpoena service

*Review of litigation file

*Formulate litigation strategy

* Various Courthouse research

* Transportation of witnesses

*Coordination of medical experts, witnesses for trial

* Medical records review

* Writing investigative reports

* Manage caseload and work efficiently in the field

* Adhere to a strict diary


SURVEILLANCE INVESTIGATOR
We are looking for a motivated surveillance investigator to join our growing team. Experience preferred but we are willing to train an ambitious, conscientious candidate. Compensation varies based on experience. Benefits, vacation and 401K.

Duties include:

* Conducting Mobile/Fixed surveillance

* Obtain Videotaped Documentation of Subjects

* Conducting activity checks

* Writing Investigative Reports

* Manage own caseload and work independently in Field

* Adhere to a strict reporting diary

PROPERTY ADJUSTER
We are seeking a property adjuster with a minimum of 4 years experience. Territories include the five boroughs. Compensation varies based on experience. Position includes health benefits, vacation and 401k.

Duties Include:

* Minimum five years experience required

* Handle full adjustments for commercial and homeowner lines

* Complete damage appraisals

* Report writing

* Assist subrogation counsel for recovery

* Prepare insured to value reports

* Maintain a strict diary

* Manage a caseload while working efficiently in the field

All qualified candidates must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills and proficiency in basic computer skills.  The candidate must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule, including evenings/weekends.  An insured, registered well maintained vehicle is required, as well as clean driving/criminal records.  A minimum education requirement of 4 year college degree, and /or 2 years related insurance experience, or related law enforcement experience.  Bilingual, Spanish/English speaking is a plus.

Position Description:

This is a multi-faceted position, providing administrative and secretarial support to an insurance support company.

 The primary responsibilities are focused in the following areas:

·         Performing clerical functions: typing, filing, answering phones

·         Handling information requests

Qualifications:
